Financial Policy

Financial Agreement Between Prime Endodontics and Our Valued Patient

Welcome to our office. We will do our best to make your Endodontic therapy as pleasant and comfortable as possible, while promising you the highest quality treatment attainable. The final cost of your treatment will be determined by the complexity of your individual treatment and the tooth being treated. Not all teeth are created equal, and fees vary from tooth to tooth depending on their complexity. There can be additional fees for procedures such as retreatment, post removal, perforation repair, root resorption, and extra canals.

Prime Endodontics Responsibility

It is important to us that we provide you the finest care and service. We take this responsibility very seriously. We want the handling of your account, from the start through final payments, to be perceived as an extension of the excellent dental care we provide you and your family.

Patient’s Responsibility

It is your responsibility to pay for your treatment in a timely manner. Our team will work with you to determine financial arrangements that make sense for both of us. With an agreement made, our joint follow-through will result in a win for everyone. 

Requirements

We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients; therefore, payment is due in full prior to treatment on the day of service.

Missed Appointment Fee or Cancellation Under 24 hours

  • $100: We have reserved that time especially for you. Short notice or no-show prevents other patients who would have wanted that time.

Regarding Insurance

As a service to our patients, we will file and take assignment of your insurance benefits. We will carefully estimate your personal investment for your dental care and make every effort to maximize your dental benefits. This is an estimate only. We cannot make any guarantees as to your insurance coverage. It is impossible to determine what the actual benefit for any service will be. ALL deductibles, co-pays, unpaid insurance balances are the responsibility of the patient / responsible party and are due no more than 60 days from the date of service. Dental Insurance Disclaimer

It is very important for any dental patient to have some understanding of how dental insurance works. Your employer contracts with an insurance company, the insurance company creates a custom-tailored policy based on what your company is willing to pay as a premium. This policy is unique to your company although it may share some similarities to other policies. The insurance company has the ability, based on the legal document “policy”, to pay or not pay any claim at any time or to exclude certain procedures, etc. to limit their exposure. The insurance company has a legal relationship with you, the patient, and not the dental office as the contract itemizing your dental benefits is between you, your employer and insurance company.

The information is very limited as to what they tell us. When we call on your benefits, we receive some information relevant to the patient being registered in the insurance program and usually a few lines of percentage of the coverages.

Insurance companies have their own disclaimer when we get information from them: 

“Notice: Provider acknowledges and understands that the information contained herein reflects current files. Claims will be processed according to benefit and membership information on file at the time of processing. Therefore, the information contained herein does not guarantee reimbursement.”

As such, any treatment plan that our office proposes to you is an ESTIMATE of your insurance coverage, it is NOT a guarantee.

Please understand as a patient at our office we do everything possible to ensure that you get your maximum benefit from the insurance. When the insurance company processes a claim is anybody’s guess. It can be upwards of 6 months for them to process although that is an exception and not the rule. At the end of the day the insurance company holds all the cards, they can refuse or deny anything they choose. That is why it is important that you understand that when you receive a treatment plan from our office that it is an estimate only. We cannot possibly know all the ins and outs of the thousands of insurance policies out there.

Regardless of coverage, your estimated co-payment is due in full prior to treatment on the day of service. It’s important for you to have a copy of your policy and some understanding of it. This document is our attempt to avoid any financial misunderstandings. In the end you are responsible for anything your insurance company doesn’t cover for any reason. Our goal as an office is to give you the best treatment possible and meet or exceed your expectations. Thank you for your continued business and confidence you have with Prime Endodontics.

Cancellations

Kindly provide at least 48 hours notice for any appointment that needs to be rescheduled. Appointments cancelled in less than 24 hours may be subject to a cancellation charge.
